Key Fitting Issues

There are two choices. You can contact one of our partners (you find one by using our Support Wizard) or you can take the measurements yourself for greater convenience.

Taking your own measurements is not difficult – here are the key points to follow:

  • Measurements should be taken first thing in the morning if legs are prone to swelling during the day.
  • Measurement should taken preferably whilst standing but while seated is OK
  • Take snug measurements against the skin, avoid measuring over clothing.
  • Never allow folds in stockings.
  • Never remove any wound dressings.
  • Stockings should not be too tight over dressings.
  • Loose socks cause bunching or gathering, creating an unwanted focal pressure.

These recommendations do not replace medical advice from your physician.
