The idea of wearing hosiery in a hot climate may not be that appealing - fear not! All Therafirm compression garments are made with Micro-Cool, an agent that is added in the dye process which changes the aqueous nature of the fibre.

Micro-Cool changes the aqueous character of synthetic fibres, allowing the rapid transfer or “wicking” of moisture along its entire length, but leaving a dry-to-the-touch feel. The evaporation process is then possible, making the end product more comfortable. Micro-Cool retains its effectiveness through multiple washing for the life of the garment.

Incorporated into the Micro-Cool process is an anti-microbial agent which deters the growth and transfer of bacteria and fungus, which accelerate the cause of foot odour and athlete’s foot. Single cell bacteria are destroyed by this anti-microbial product and are prevented from growing back within the fabric when it is applied. Fungus growth is practically eliminated.
